BIOGRAPHY
PROFILE
Ekaterina Chebotareva is a concert pianist and a graduate of the Imola International
Piano Academy in Italy.
Born in Russia on April 24, 1997, Ekaterina began studying piano at the age of just 3
under the guidance of her grandmother, winning her first competition at the age of 5.
At 7, she made her debut with an orchestra. After 12 years of training in Russia, she
moved to Italy, where she embarked on an intensive concert career, achieving
numerous victories in international competitions across Europe and beyond.
She is fluent in three languages: Italian, English, and Russian.
EXPERIENCE
FROM 2021 — TO 2024
She participated in the CD project "Schumann: The Works for Solo Piano" with 2R
Studio Produzioni Multimediali, where she recorded and released Schumann's
"Humoreske" on all platforms in 2022. Her plans for 2024-2025 include the recording
of a new CD, which will feature Brahms' 8 Klavierstücke, Op. 76, as part of a project
dedicated to the complete piano works of the composer.
Ekaterina has performed concerts in various countries, including Germany, France, the
Czech Republic, Spain, and Russia.
Since 2024, Ekaterina has been a resident artist at Teatro Mazzacorati 1763 in Bologna,
captivating audiences with a variety of programs. She has also given recitals in various
regions of Italy, performing in cities such as:

She has performed on prestigious stages such as the Teatro Dante Alighieri in
Ravenna, the Teatro di Verona, and the Sala Bozza at the Conservatorio di Bologna in
Italy. The Great Concert Hall and the Chamber Hall at the Moscow International House
of Music in Russia.
She has collaborated with renowned orchestras, including the Youth Symphony
Orchestra of Russia named after Svetlanov (Moscow, Russia), the State Symphonic
Orchestra of the Republic of Tatarstan, and the New Music Orchestra (Kazan, Russia).
She has also worked with world-famous conductors such as Günter Stegmüller
(Germany), Bogusław Dawidow (Poland), Vasily Valitov, Ann Gulishmbarova, and
Alexander Sladkovsky (Russia), among others.
Since 2023, Ekaterina, in collaboration with Italian guitarist Diego Melfi, has founded
the International "Gala Music Festival" in Emilia-Romagna. During the 2023-2024
concert season, they organized 13 concerts across 3 different venues, showcasing
talented musicians from around the world.
In 2024, Ekaterina passed the audition for the role of accompanist at the National
Opera of Paris but chose to decline the position to continue her solo career. She is
continually working to perfect her professional skills and explore new ways to express
her art, participating in highly specialized courses and masterclasses with renowned
professors, including Eliso Virsaladze, Alexey Nasedkin (Russia), Daejin Kim (Korea),
Sofya Gulyak (UK), David Lively (France), Michael Lifits (Germany), Benedetto Lupo and
Federico Colli (Italy).

Ekaterina is also actively present on social media, where she shares musical content
and her performances. She is active on Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and TikTok,
with approximately 3,000 followers on Instagram.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
At the Imola Piano Academy, Ekaterina collaborates as an accompanist with masters
such as Boris Belkin, Maurizio Sciarretta (violin), Giovanni Puddu (guitar), and Marco
Boni (conductor) to support her studies.
She has also served as a collaborating pianist for masterclasses conducted by
luminaries such as Pinchas Zukerman (violin, Canada) and Pavel Berman (violin,
Switzerland).
TEACHING
Ekaterina teaches private piano lessons in Bologna. Among the recent achievements of
her students in international competitions are: 2nd Prize at the Alberghini Competition
(Bologna, 2024); 3rd Prize at the “Circolo della Musica di Bologna” (Bologna, 2024) –
Alexander Gollini. 2nd Prize at the “Recondite Armonie” Piano Competition (Grosseto,
2024) – Timofei Lifshitz
Additionally, during the COVID period, she conducted an online project, providing
lessons to professional pianists from Japan, China, Korea, and Italy, while also
maintaining an active concert career.
